Universal mobile phone charger EU standards released
European Union (EU) Wednesday (12/29) announced that , CEN-CENELEC, and ETSI standards organizations have been two European mobile phone charger standard for universal consensus and issued a new standard, which the EU plans to promote the Universal Mobile Phone Charger a major milestone.




The EU said the European standardization organizations in such a short period of time to develop technical standards and consensus are very pleased to show commitment to the industry now is the time. Universal mobile phone charger not only allows consumers to use more convenient, while reducing environmental waste, this is the real win-win results.




The EU is the world in June 2009 with 14 leading mobile phone manufacturers to obtain an agreement to jointly promote this universal charger project, hoping to achieve within two years to Micro-USB connector design based on the universal charger. Industry signed the agreement at that time, including: Apple, Emblaze Mobile, Huawei, LGE, Motorola, Nokia, Qualcomm (Qialcomm), RIM, Samsung, NEC, Sony Ericsson, TCT Mobile (ALCATEL), Texas Instruments, and Atmel.




Subsequently, the European Union in December 2009 to the CEN-CENELEC and ETSI standardization of the two European standards organizations to develop common requirements of the charger. Now, with the new standards in place, the next to follow the new standard for mobile phone chargers, will be able to interoperate regardless of brand. In addition to interoperability, the new standard will use the risk of electromagnetic radiation and other safety factors into account to ensure that the charger is not easy to external interference.
